This course is an introduction to the GYROTONIC® Level 1 exercises. It lays the groundwork for the student towards completing the Level 1 Foundation Course.
The student will be taking classes with a Master Trainer or authorised Pre-trainer. They will get acquainted with the fundamentals of GYROTONIC® Level 1 exercises, specifically first-hand knowledge of the movements on the machines and the underlying principles of those movements.
By the end of this course, the student should demonstrate a sufficient understanding of the Pre-training Course exercise list. Upon completion of this course, they must begin the Foundation Course within the next three months.
It is highly recommended that the student, prior to enrolling in this Pre-training Course, take at least ten private classes with a certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer.
This course covers the GYROTONIC® Level 1 curriculum and manual, which are practiced worldwide. It prepares the student in becoming a GYROTONIC® Apprentice.
The student will be taking classes with a certified Master Trainer, in a supervised group setting. The student will alternate their role as the teacher and the student and in the process, learn how to practice, demonstrate, and instruct the proper breathing patterns and corresponding movements on a pulley-tower combination unit. Gradually, the student will cultivate the teaching skills and techniques that help them develop their individual training programs.
By the end of this course, the student should demonstrate not only a good understanding of the Foundation Course syllabus, but also the ability to apply the syllabus in their teaching. They can begin teaching Level 1 exercises as a GYROTONIC® Apprentice. The Apprenticeship license is valid for one year.
Six months after the completion of this course, the student can begin the Level 1 Final Certification Course. Commencement of the Final Certification Course must take place within a year of completing the Foundation Course.
Prior to this course, the student must have finished the GYROTONIC® Pre-training Course and acquired the Pre-training Qualification Agreement. They are required to show the Agreement in the first class.
The Apprenticeship lasts for 6 to 12 months. This is a period during which the student puts the Foundation Course materials into practice and prepares for the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Final Certification Course.
The student has a set of apprenticeship requirements to fulfill. First, they need to complete 60 “teaching client” hours; after which, they need to complete a minimum of 30 “supervised apprentice” hours. Those 30 hours are done under the guidance and supervision of a Master Trainer, in the form of either an Apprenticeship Course or a re-take of the Foundation Course.
By the end of this period, the student must have successfully fulfilled the above requirements. They can then begin the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Final Certification Course.
Prior to the apprenticeship, the student must have finished the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Foundation Course.
This course simultaneously fosters and reviews the apprentice’s readiness to teach the Level 1 curriculum, before they become a certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer.
In this course, the apprentice must demonstrate a proficient understanding of the Level 1 Foundation Course syllabus, in terms of its exercises and principles. The apprentice must also be capable of providing verbal cues and physical guidance to a moving person, as stated in the Level 1 Foundation Course manual.
Upon completion of this course, the apprentice becomes a certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer and is granted a trademark license. The certified Trainer has to renew their certification and trademark license every two years by meeting continuing education requirements. They are now eligible to enrol in GYROTONIC® Specialised Courses and Specialised Equipment Courses.
Prior to this course, the student must have finished the GYROTONIC® apprenticeship requirements.
This is a three-day course that introduces the GYROTONIC® Trainer to the Level 2, Program 1 exercises. It prepares the Trainer for the Program 1 Course.
The student will be taking classes with a Level 2 Master Trainer. After completing this course, the student must finish the Program 1 Course within one year.
Prior to this course, the student must have been a certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer for at least four months.
This course is an advanced version of the GYROTONIC® Level 1 curriculum.
The student will be taking classes with a Level 2 Master Trainer. The student will be introduced to more challenging endurance-building exercise sequences, including an advanced hamstring series with a focus on cardiovascular endurance, an advanced handle unit series in multiple standing positions, a handle unit sequences in more challenging variations of the Level 1 sitting positions, a Level 2 traction series, an advanced upper body series in standing positions, and an advanced abdominal series.
Prior to this course, the student must have completed the GYROTONIC® Level 2, Program 1 Pre-training course.
This is a three-day course that introduces the GYROTONIC® Trainer to the Level 2, Program 2 exercises. It prepares the Trainer for the Program 2 Course.
The student will be taking classes with a Level 2 Master Trainer. After completing this course, the student must finish the Program 2 Course within one year.
Prior to this course, the student must have been a certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer for at least four months.
This course is an advanced version of the GYROTONIC® Level 1 curriculum, with a specific focus on movements that reinforce strength, flexibility, and coordination.
The student will be taking classes with a Level 2 Master Trainer. The student will be introduced to more demanding exercise sequences, including an advanced handle unit series with an emphasis on flexibility and strength, an advanced hamstring series with an emphasis on flexibility and strength, two advanced standing upper body sequences, an advanced floor work series, and an advanced abdominal series with an emphasis on flexibility and strength.
Prior to this course, the student must have completed the GYROTONIC® Level 2, Program 2 Pre-training course.
